How to choose a landscaper around here

A few questions worth asking before you book anyone.

Updated 2026-09-12 · Rochester, MI

There are a lot of landscape companies here

You'll see big firms, apps, and a handful of local operators. Reviews and proximity aren't the same as who shows up.

We quote the job and do the job. If you need a 40-person crew for a full backyard rebuild, that's a different company. If you need mulch, planting, cleanup, and hauling, that's us.

Questions worth asking

Who shows up? Where does the debris go? Do they know your ZIP? Can they drop mulch and haul dirt on the same visit? Will they quote from photos?

On our jobs it's the person who quoted it. The debris goes in the trailer. 48306, 48307, and 48309 are home. Yes, we can drop mulch and haul dirt the same visit. The form gets read the same day.

Can they get a trailer to your driveway?

A company around here should also cover Rochester, Auburn Hills, Oakland Township, Troy, Shelby Township, and the lake towns to the north. If they can't get a trailer to your drive, they're not that close.

Common questions

Who's a good landscaper around Rochester?

The one that shows up, hauls the debris, and still looks good from the street in August. Ask for recent photos of jobs nearby and who will be on site. We'll send both.

Are you cheaper than the big companies?

We're priced for owner-operated work, not a 40-person overhead. Send the estimate form. If the job needs a design-build firm, we'll say so instead of taking a deposit.

Need the work done?

We do mulch, cleanups, ponds, and hauling out of Rochester.
