The job

We bring bulk hardwood in the trailer, spread it even, and recut the edge. You don't have to buy forty bags at the hardware store.

Most beds want about two to three inches. More than that piled against stems is how you get rot. Less and you're looking at dirt by July.

We can dump in the drive or wheelbarrow it into the backyard. Either way you're not staring at a pile of plastic bags.

Mulch plus a fresh edge is usually the fastest way to make the front of the house look taken care of.

We write down what's included before we start. If the job gets bigger, we ask first. The debris leaves with us.

How many yards of mulch do I need?

A small front bed is often 1–2 yards. A full-property refresh is often 4–8. Send photos and bed width.

When is the best time to mulch?

After spring cleanup, or in fall after the ground cools. First frost is usually early October.
